We invite suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:
APAC Plant Materials & Services Capex Subcategory Sourcing Lead
Based: Jakarta
Jakarta Raya
Responsibilities:
- Develop & maintain deep expertise in the PMS capital sourcing area, e.g., sourcing process, execution strategy, etc
- Develop detailed understanding of the current activity within Cargill, e.g., capital spend profile, volume forecasts, design specifications
- Determine where sourcing can have a greater involvement and drive value; ensure intimate understanding of business needs - coordinate with regional subcategory & Business Strategic Sourcing teams to achieve necessary knowledge of BU requirements and needs
- Lead efforts to support subcategory leads for subcategory strategy development - e.g., gather spend baseline data, join in negotiations or follow up with the negotiation strategy, cascade communication, work with subcategory lead to monitor supplier performance, and compliance to agreements, etc.
- Drive to execute subcategories strategies through implementation at the BU level
- Support APAC Plant Materials & Services Manager in executing "global /regional” category efforts
- Ensure stakeholder engagement across entire sourcing lifecycle (establish responsibility matrix)
- Maintain ties to appropriate industry groups and conduct ongoing research of industry benchmarks.
- Manage designated supplier relationships
- Support subcategory lead to track performance for subcategory in coordination with Business Strategic Sourcing teams
- Resolve implementation issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor or master degree in Civil Construction/Mechanical/Engineering
- 8+ years sourcing experience in multinational company major in capital sourcing
- Experience with similar industry
- Knowledge of the market, suppliers and cost drivers
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to:
- Engage, communicate & influence senior stakeholders (internal & external)
- Establish trust & credibility with BU leaders & other functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical, business process & problem solving capabilities
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate initiatives in a virtual team environment
- Experience in representing APAC region in global initiatives
- Experience managing complex, high-value supplier relationships
- Track record of success in supplier consolidation and driving spend to preferred suppliers, contracts, and frame agreements
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve vendor performance
- Strong written & verbal communication skills in both English, Indonesian/Malay
- Regional travel within China and Asia is required
